Zhou Xia clinched China’s first gold medal in athletics by winning the women’s T35 100m. Di Dongdong set a world record in the men’s long jump for visually impaired athletes, and Wen Xiaoyan secured gold in the women’s T37 200m. Brazilian Petrucio Ferreira dos Santos won his third consecutive 100m title in the T47 class despite a track marred with puddles. Losing his left arm below the elbow at the age of two, Ferreira has been a formidable Paralympian, winning gold in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. In the men’s T11 5,000m, Julio Agripino dos Santos set a world record.

With an enthusiastic crowd of 45,000 at the Stade de France, athletes from around the world showcased their skills and determination.
