Al Hilal’s 2-1 victory over Al Ahli in a thrilling match in Jeddah brings them one step closer to clinching the Saudi Professional League title. With this win, they have increased their points tally to 86, maintaining a 12-point lead over their closest rival, Al Nassr. This defeat leaves Al Ahli at third place in the standings with 55 points. The match saw a turnout of 49,816 spectators and was filled with excitement and suspense until the final minutes.

The game started off with Al Ahli having a near miss in the 13th minute when Riyad Mahrez’s powerful shot hit the post after beating Al Hilal’s goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou. However, Al Hilal quickly responded with a counterattack by Michael that was saved by Al Ahli’s keeper, Mendy. The first half ended with Al Ahli in the lead, despite Al Hilal’s attempts to equalize. Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou made a crucial save during a one-on-one situation to keep his team in the game.

In the second half, Al Ahli pushed towards Al Hilal’s goal in an attempt to extend their lead. However, it was Al Hilal who managed to score the equalizing goal in the 52nd minute, thanks to a perfect attack led by Brazilian player Malcom. Malcom played a pivotal role once again, securing the victory for Al Hilal by scoring the winning goal in the final minute of regulation time. This win leaves Al Hilal just one point away from securing the title with four rounds remaining in the season.

The match showcased Al Hilal’s superior penetration into the box and their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities. With their star players like Malcom leading the charge, Al Hilal was able to turn the tables on their hosts and emerge victorious from the high-stakes game. The thrilling encounter between these two top teams in the Saudi Professional League kept the fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

The win over Al Ahli not only brings Al Hilal closer to the league title but also highlights their dominance and determination throughout the season. With key players stepping up in crucial moments, Al Hilal has shown that they are deserving contenders for the championship. As they continue to maintain their lead over Al Nassr and other competitors, Al Hilal’s fans can look forward to celebrating a successful season and potentially another league title in the near future.
