Al Ahli secured a 1-0 victory over Al Gharafa in the Ooredoo Stars League, with Sekou Yansane scoring the winning goal. The French forward found the back of the net in the 16th minute after a brilliant pass from Julian Draxler. Al Ahli’s goalkeeper Marwan Sherif made some crucial saves to deny Al Gharafa any chance of equalizing. The victory moved Al Ahli to second place in the standings, while Al Gharafa slipped to 11th place.

Despite their best efforts, Al Gharafa could not find the back of the net, with Seydou Sano’s goal being disallowed after a VAR check. The team’s coach Pedro Martins expressed disappointment at the outcome of the match but praised his players for their efforts. Al Ahli’s coach Igor Biscan was pleased with his team’s performance, particularly their defensive efforts in the second half. He credited the players for their determination and hard work throughout the match.

In another match, Al Khor and Al Shahania played out a goalless draw at the Al Bayt Stadium. Both teams had opportunities to score but were unable to find the back of the net. The match saw Al Shahania goalkeeper Bautista Burke making some important saves to keep his team in the game. Al Khor’s Yohan Boli missed a chance to score in the second half, resulting in the teams settling for a draw.

With the completion of the second round, Al Khor is in ninth place on the table, ahead of Al Shahania on goal difference. Both teams will be looking to improve their performance in the upcoming matches to climb up the standings. The Ooredoo Stars League promises more exciting matches and intense competition as the season progresses. Fans can expect thrilling performances from all the teams as they battle it out for the top spot in the league.
