Simmering, the two-year-old filly owned by Al Shaqab Racing and trained by Ollie Sangster, recently secured a victory in the Gr.2 Prix du Calvados at Deauville. The talented horse, sired by Too Darn Hot, had previously won the Gr.3 Sodexo Live, Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot. With this latest win, Simmering has proven herself as a formidable competitor in the racing world and is now a Gr.2 winner. She is also set to compete in the upcoming Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket.
Ridden by Dylan Browne McMonagle for the first time, Simmering showed great potential in the race, gradually closing in on the leaders and ultimately taking the lead in the final furlong. The filly comfortably secured a three-length victory, leaving Fraise des Bois in second place and Iron Bird in third. This impressive performance showcases Simmering’s skill and agility on the track.
Simmering’s success can be attributed in part to her breeding, as she is the offspring of Too Darn Hot and Cashla Bay, who is a daughter of Gr.3 winner Rose Blossom. Bred by Lofts Hall Stud, Simmering comes from a strong lineage of talented racehorses, further solidifying her status as a rising star in the racing world.
With Dylan Browne McMonagle guiding her to victory, Simmering has proven herself as a force to be reckoned with in the racing circuit. Trained by Ollie Sangster, the filly’s performance in the Gr.2 Prix du Calvados at Deauville exemplifies her potential and skill as a racehorse. As she gears up to compete in the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket next month, all eyes will be on Simmering as she continues her journey towards greatness.
Overall, Simmering’s recent victory in the Gr.2 Prix du Calvados at Deauville solidifies her position as a rising star in the world of horse racing. Owned by Al Shaqab Racing and trained by Ollie Sangster, the talented filly has shown great promise and potential, with Dylan Browne McMonagle guiding her to a three-length victory in the race.
