Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorney is planning to file an appeal to have him released from prison, after he was denied bail twice. The music mogul was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on charges of allegedly organizing “freak offs” and drugging and assaulting victims. He is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being denied bail for the second time. Despite concerns about substance abuse and anger issues, Combs is reportedly no longer on suicide watch and is focused on preparing for his trial.

Combs’ lawyer, Alexandra Shapiro, filed a notice of intent to appeal, with the official appeal brief expected to be submitted soon. The next court appearance for Combs is scheduled for early October. The charges against him involve allegations of organizing elaborate and produced sex performances, as well as drugging and assaulting victims. The denial of bail was due to concerns about his potential to harm others based on allegations of substance abuse and anger issues.

Combs’ attorney stated that he is focused and very strong, preparing for his trial while being detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. The appeal process is underway to have Combs released from prison while he awaits his trial.
