Saudi delegation discovers innovative educational models at GEIS 2024 in South Korea

A delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Education recently attended the Global Innovation Summit for Education 2024 (GEIS) in South Korea. The purpose of their visit was to learn about the latest advancements in technical systems and digital books. During their time in South Korea, the delegation engaged with specialized educational institutes, companies, and educational broadcasting stations to gain valuable insights and foster potential collaboration.

One of the key meetings during the delegation’s visit was with the Research Institute for Early Childhood Education Policy (KICCE). This meeting aimed to explore opportunities for cooperation in scientific research and development governance. Additionally, discussions were held with the Korea Education Development Institute (KEDI) to gain a better understanding of the institute’s core areas of focus and discuss potential areas for partnership.

The delegation also met with representatives from the Korean Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE) to discuss curricula and digital book licensing. One such company they met with was I-Scream Media, which focuses on creating innovative educational content. The delegation also explored opportunities for cooperation in education and scientific research with the Korean Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) during their visit.

This provided valuable insights into educational broadcasting systems in South Korea and potential areas for collaboration in this field.
