Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng, Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli recently met with the Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Mars Sangyamponsa in Riyadh to discuss strengthening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, food security, and environment. The meeting, which was also attended by Governor of the Public Authority for Food Security Eng. Ahmed Al-Faris, focused on consolidating bilateral coordination in achieving food security, developing the livestock sector, and environmental protection and afforestation. Undersecretary for Agriculture Eng, Ahmed Al-Eyada, Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs Dr. Osama Faqih, Director General of the General Administration of International Cooperation Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Huwaish, CEO of the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification Dr. Khaled Al-Abdulqader, and the Chairman of SALIC Engineer Sulaiman Al-Rumaih were also present at the meeting.

The meeting between Minister Al-Fadhli and Minister Sangyamponsa was an opportunity to discuss ways in which Saudi Arabia and Thailand can work together to enhance food security and environmental sustainability. Both ministers emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in addressing challenges related to agriculture, food security, and environmental protection. By sharing knowledge and expertise, the two countries can find innovative solutions to common issues and strengthen their partnership in these critical areas.

One of the key objectives of the meeting was to explore opportunities for collaboration in developing the livestock sector.
