Salmaniya Hospital Eliminates Waiting List for Cochlear Implants, Surgery Now Available Within a Week

Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, recently announced that the waiting list for cochlear implant surgeries at Salmaniya Medical Complex has been cleared as of August. This comes as part of efforts to improve healthcare standards in the Kingdom of Bahrain, following directions from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Since the beginning of 2024, a total of 23 cochlear implant surgeries have been performed, bringing the cumulative number to 373 since the programme started.
