Qatar achieves third place at Arab Beach Volleyball Championship

The Arab Beach Volleyball Championship recently took place in Hammamet, Tunisia, with Team Qatar placing third in the competition. The Qatari duo of Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan secured their victory over the Saudi team in two clean sets with scores of 21-11, 21-11. Despite losing in the semi-finals to the Omani team, the Qataris were able to bounce back and claim the third-place spot in the tournament.

This championship, featuring both men’s and women’s teams, saw the participation of 15 teams from eight Arab countries, including Tunisia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Lebanon, and Morocco. Team Qatar sent two teams to compete in the tournament, with the first team comprising Younousse and Tijan, and the second team consisting of Tariq Abdel Hafez and Nour Othman. While the former team secured a third-place finish, the latter team was eliminated in the group stage after losses to the Tunisian and Moroccan teams.
