The construction of the main sewer and treated wastewater lines in East Sitra is progressing smoothly, with Engineer Fathi Abdulla Al Farea leading the project as the Assistant Undersecretary for Sewage Projects at the Works Ministry. The project, which is now 60% complete, is part of the ministry’s initiative to support new housing developments in Bahrain and enhance infrastructure services to accommodate the country’s rapid urban growth. The project aims to provide sanitation services and treated water for irrigation and landscaping in the expanding East Sitra area.

So far, a significant portion of the project has been completed, with 3,308 meters of the 4,359-meter treated water line and 823.2 meters of the 1,661-meter wastewater conveyance line already installed. Additionally, construction has started on two pumping stations for treated sewage and one for wastewater to serve the East Sitra Housing Project. This includes building a 15-meter-deep pumping station, 230-meter-long pressure lines, and a 1.43-kilometer pipeline with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 900 mm.

The Works Ministry is calling for the cooperation of citizens and residents during the project by following directional signs and any necessary traffic diversions to ensure public safety. It is crucial for the smooth progression of the project that everyone adhere to the guidelines and regulations set in place for the construction of the sewer and wastewater lines in East Sitra. This will help avoid any inconveniences or disruptions caused by the ongoing infrastructure development.

The sewage infrastructure project in East Sitra was awarded by the Tender Board to Zohal construction company for a cost of BD 3,680,941. This investment highlights the government’s commitment to providing essential services and infrastructure to support the growing needs of the community. By prioritizing projects like the construction of the main sewer and treated wastewater lines, Bahrain is able to meet the demands of its expanding urban areas and ensure a high standard of living for its residents.

The completion of the sewer and wastewater lines in East Sitra will not only provide sanitation services and treated water for irrigation and landscaping but will also contribute to the overall development and growth of the area. With enhanced infrastructure in place, new housing developments will be supported, and the quality of life for residents in East Sitra will be significantly improved. The project reflects the government’s proactive approach to urban planning and infrastructure development to meet the needs of a rapidly growing population in Bahrain.

In conclusion, the progress of the construction of the main sewer and treated wastewater lines in East Sitra is a significant step towards enhancing infrastructure services and supporting new housing developments in Bahrain. With Engineer Fathi Abdulla Al Farea leading the project, along with the cooperation of citizens and residents, the completion of the project is on track to meet the planned schedule. The government’s investment in essential infrastructure projects like this demonstrates its commitment to providing quality services and ensuring the sustainable development of urban areas in Bahrain. As construction continues and the project nears completion, the benefits of improved sanitation services and treated water for irrigation and landscaping will be realized, leading to a better quality of life for residents in the expanding East Sitra area.
