President of UAE extends Eid Al Adha greetings

As Muslims across the UAE offered prayers for Eid Al Adha, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended his greetings on social media, wishing peace and unity for all. He also exchanged Eid best wishes with leaders of neighbouring countries through phone calls, spreading good health and happiness to all. The GCC leaders expressed their shared wish for stability and prosperity in the Arab and Muslim nations and the world.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also took to social media to wish residents on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. He asked God to accept the prayers of pilgrims gathered in the plains of Arafat, sharing illustrations of himself performing the pilgrimage. Eid Al Adha, one of Islam’s main festivals, commemorates the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son on God’s command, with Muslims sacrificing animals and distributing meat to the poor.
