OQ Exploration and Production (OQEP), the only fully government-owned exploration production company in the Sultanate of Oman, has unveiled a new brand identity that represents its commitment to sustained growth and progress in the country. The new branding includes a modern logo that incorporates the logo of its parent company OQ Group and a colour palette of orange and blue, symbolizing energy, trust, and reliability. Ahmed Al Azkawi, Chief Executive of OQEP, stated that the rebranding marks an important milestone in the company’s journey and aligns with its strategic vision for driving investment and value creation in Oman.

Said Al Hashmi, Chief Executive of People, Technology and Culture of OQEP, emphasized that the new brand identity is part of a strategic evolution to accelerate growth and sustainability goals, while also reinforcing the commitment to advancing Oman’s national agenda. The branding reflects OQEP’s legacy and dedication to operational excellence and energy innovation, aiming to embody the vision and aspirations of all stakeholders. As the dedicated upstream company of OQ, OQEP plays a key role in the energy ecosystem by focusing on the exploration, drilling, and extraction of oil and gas to drive economic growth and sustainability in Oman.

The new branding of OQEP is designed to position the company as an industry leader both domestically and on a global scale, highlighting its track record of delivering affordable energy and reputation as a trusted partner for international energy companies. The company’s visual identity is a result of collaboration between OQEP and its partners, aiming to solidify its position in the industry and showcase its commitment to the economic, environmental, and social progress of Oman.
