The event, held in collaboration with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, highlighted the importance of quality and performance improvement across various sectors. Key themes included quality and institutional excellence, digital platforms enhancing performance and supporting innovation, workplace innovation, and the National Equal Opportunities initiative.
In the first theme, the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit presented guidance manuals on quality and institutional excellence, while Opaz showcased its Institutional Transformation Programme. Esnad Integrated Services discussed the importance of ISO quality certifications, and Sohar Port and Freezone shared results achieved through implementing ISO 55001, the asset management standard. The focus was on continuous enhancement of operational processes and services to achieve beneficiary satisfaction.
The second theme, ‘Digital Platforms Enhancing Performance and Supporting Innovation,’ highlighted digital platforms launched by Opaz to facilitate investment processes, such as the OMAP platform and electronic land selection service. These platforms aim to improve and streamline planning and site selection in economic and free zones. The event also featured the Eltizam platform, which enhances oversight and ensures compliance with standards. Sohar Port and Freezone demonstrated modern technologies in asset management and smart lighting.
In the third theme, ‘Innovation in the Workplace,’ Opaz presented initiatives including Jisr, Short Dialogues and Experiences, aimed at enhancing employee efficiency and improving the work environment. Sohar Port and Freezone shared key management practices for enhancing employee efficiency. The goal was to promote a culture of innovation and process improvements to foster a high level of excellence within the business environment.
The fourth theme focused on the ‘National Equal Opportunities’ initiative, designed to support Omani entrepreneurs and SME owners. The Arkan Agriculture Research, Development and Innovation Company (Ardic) discussed its innovative professional services in support of the agricultural sector. Ibn Firnas Drone Center showcased its drone services and products, demonstrating their applications in various sectors. These initiatives aim to support local entrepreneurs and SMEs through innovative services and products.
