Omani women become equal partners in progress with the support of HM

Omani women have come a long way in society and have enjoyed a prestigious position, being recognized as partners in sustainable development. The late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur honored them by allocating a day to celebrate their contributions, which is the 17th of October of every year. Today, Omani women are pioneers in affirming their vital role, inspired by the support of the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Statistics indicate the increasing number of Omani women employees in various sectors, showcasing their significant presence in society.

Manal Al-Maashari, Headmaster of Al Shawamekh Basic Education School, emphasized the importance of enhancing the status and capabilities of Omani women, as they are fundamental pillars for the Omani renaissance. Women have held many leadership positions and have had a real impact in the development of society, serving the country alongside men. Halima Al Shehhi, Headmaster of Lima Primary School in Musandam Governorate, highlighted the pride Omani women feel for their belonging to the country and the care and status they enjoy in all educational and practical aspects.

Sumia Al Farsi, an Arabic language teacher, sees Omani Women’s Day as a coronation for the distinguished women of Oman, celebrating their development journey and the trust they have earned in various fields. Omani women face the challenge of balancing their roles at home and work to advance the development journey of the country, but they have proven their success in both areas. Nawal Al Farsi, Headmaster of Al Falak Primary School, mentioned the challenges Omani women faced in the beginning of the Renaissance era but acknowledged the government’s support in overcoming obstacles.

Maryam Al Fayoumi, Headmaster of Al Firdaws Private School, praised the government’s empowerment of Omani women by providing equal opportunities in education, work, and political participation. The government plays a major role in overcoming challenges faced by women through economic empowerment programs, flexible work environments, initiatives supporting leadership and entrepreneurship, and training programs. Omani women have witnessed remarkable development over the past decades, contributing to various fields and becoming an integral part of the decision-making process.

Intisar Al Wahaibi, an Arabic language teacher, highlighted the increased contribution of Omani women in various fields, supported by reforms in their legal and social conditions, strengthening their position in society. Amna Al Raisi, Senior Social Guidance Supervisor, expressed gratitude and appreciation for Omani women for their contributions and achievements in building the nation. Rahma Al Marzouqi, a visual arts teacher, emphasized the need for Omani women to challenge themselves, continue to develop, and play a prominent role in building Oman’s present and future. Omani women have become symbols of success in all sectors of the country, benefiting from educational and professional opportunities provided by the wise leadership.
