Omani armed forces prepared to handle weather conditions

The main military committee managing emergency situations in the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) is fully prepared to handle the upcoming weather condition in Oman. Chaired by Brigadier General Hamid bin Abdullah Al Balushi, the committee reviewed the developments in the weather situation and confirmed the use of all capabilities to provide support to government agencies and other sectors. Subcommittees have been activated in the affected governorates, and readiness of all formations and bases, including the Royal Armed Forces, has been determined to assist citizens and residents as needed.

The committee is focused on coordinating efforts and providing necessary support to effectively manage the weather situation. The Royal Armed Forces, Royal Guard of Oman, Royal Special Force, and other departments are working together to ensure that they are prepared to provide assistance as required. All measures and preparations have been taken since the announcement of the weather situation to ensure a swift and efficient response to the impending conditions.

As part of the National Emergency Management Committee’s plan, the Main Military Committee for Emergency Management is continuously monitoring the weather situation and the readiness of all formations and units deployed in the field. Any developments in the situation will be addressed according to the established plan to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens and residents in Oman. The committee’s priority remains the management of the emergency situation and providing support where needed to mitigate any potential risks.

In coordination with various government agencies and sectors, the Main Military Committee for Emergency Management is committed to ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to respond effectively to the weather conditions expected to impact Oman. The Royal Armed Forces have confirmed their readiness to provide support and assistance in line with the National Emergency Management Committee’s plan. By activating subcommittees and determining the readiness of all formations and bases, the committee is prepared to address any contingencies that may arise.
