The Omani Human Rights Commission (OHRC) recently attended the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) meetings and conference in Geneva. Led by Dr. Rashid Hamad Al Balushi, Chairman of the OHRC, the delegation discussed the strategic plan of the Global Alliance and the challenges facing national institutions responsible for human rights. They also explored ways to strengthen cooperation between regional networks affiliated with the GANHRI.
In addition to participating in the GANHRI conference, Oman’s delegation took part in a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions.
