A political talk session was held between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Uzbekistan to discuss historic relations and enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields. The Omani side was led by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, while the Uzbek side was represented by Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov. The ministers exchanged views on the Arab-Israeli conflict, specifically the Palestinian cause and the actions of the Israeli occupation government. They also discussed other regional and international issues of mutual interest during the session.

One of the key outcomes of the political talks was the signing of an agreement for the visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, private, and service passports from both countries. This agreement will facilitate travel between Oman and Uzbekistan for individuals holding these types of passports, promoting greater diplomatic ties and economic cooperation. The session was attended by various officials from both sides, including Sheikh Humaid Ali Al Maani and Abdusalam Khatamov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman.

The discussions during the session highlighted the mutual keenness of both countries to continue strengthening relations in diplomatic, economic, cultural, and scientific fields. This demonstrates a commitment from both Oman and Uzbekistan to collaborate and work together on various issues of common interest. The political talks served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas between the two nations, paving the way for future cooperation and partnership.

The Arab-Israeli conflict was a significant topic of discussion during the political talks, with a focus on the Palestinian cause and the actions of the Israeli occupation government. Both sides expressed their views and concerns on this issue, underscoring the importance of finding a peaceful resolution and ensuring the rights and well-being of the Palestinian people. The ministers engaged in constructive dialogue on this sensitive matter, reaffirming their support for the Palestinian cause and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The session also provided an opportunity for Oman and Uzbekistan to address other regional and international issues of mutual interest. By exchanging views and perspectives on various global developments, the two countries were able to enhance their understanding of each other’s positions and priorities. This dialogue was valuable in fostering greater cooperation and collaboration on shared challenges and opportunities, further solidifying the bonds between Oman and Uzbekistan.

Overall, the political talks between Oman and Uzbekistan were productive and fruitful, showcasing the strong partnership and friendship between the two nations. The signing of the visa waiver agreement and the discussions on various important issues underscored the commitment of both countries to deepening their cooperation and advancing common goals. The session laid the foundation for continued dialogue and collaboration, paving the way for closer ties and increased mutual understanding between Oman and Uzbekistan in the years to come.
