A meeting of the National Olympic Committees of West Asian countries was recently held in Doha, organized by the Qatar Olympic Committee in collaboration with the Olympic Council of Asia. Representatives from 12 Olympic Committees in the West Asian region attended the event, including countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, the UAE, and others. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Thani bin Abdul Rahman Al Kuwari, who serves as the Second Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the West Asia region.

Key figures present at the meeting included Hussein Al Muslim, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, and Vinod Tiwari, Acting Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, along with representatives from the Olympic Committees of the West Asia region. The aim of the meeting was to discuss and collaborate on various issues related to the promotion and development of sports in the region, as well as to strengthen ties between the different Olympic Committees. The event provided a platform for sharing ideas, knowledge, and best practices in the field of sports administration and management.
