In a thrilling match in the Ooredoo Stars League in Doha, Qatar, Mohammed Muntari of Al Gharafa came off the bench to score a crucial goal, leading his team to a 1-1 draw against league leaders Al Duhail. The defending champions, Al Sadd, also had a successful outing as they blanked Al Wakrah 3-0 to climb to second place in the league standings. With the draw, Al Duhail maintained their four-point lead at the top of the table, with Al Sadd trailing closely behind on goal difference.

The match between Al Duhail and Al Gharafa was a tense affair, with both teams failing to register a shot on target in the first half. Michael Olunga of Al Duhail broke the deadlock in the 55th minute with a goal from near the penalty spot. However, Mohammed Muntari of Al Gharafa levelled the score in the 87th minute after a fine cross from Rabh Boussafi on the right flank. This crucial goal helped Al Gharafa secure a valuable point and maintain their fourth-place position in the league standings.

Meanwhile, Al Sadd put up a dominant performance against Al Wakrah, with Rafa Mujica scoring two goals to secure a 3-0 victory. Mujica opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal from the edge of the box, while Akram Afif and Cristo Gonzalez also got on the scoresheet. Al Sadd’s veteran player Hassan Al Haydos expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance and highlighted the importance of the win for their confidence in both the league and the AFC Champions League.

In another match, Al Arabi defeated Qatar SC 4-1, with Youssef Msakni scoring twice to help his team secure their second win of the season. This victory lifted Al Arabi to ninth place in the league standings, while Qatar SC remained in 11th place with seven points. The win was a significant boost for Al Arabi, who will be looking to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches in the league.

Overall, the Ooredoo Stars League continues to provide thrilling and competitive matches, with teams battling it out for crucial points and positioning in the league standings. The performances of players like Mohammed Muntari, Rafa Mujica, and Youssef Msakni have been instrumental in their respective teams’ success, showcasing their skill and talent on the field.
