Saudi Arabia is taking strict measures to ensure the security and safety of pilgrims during the Hajj season. Col. Talal Al-Shalhoub, security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, emphasized that the country will not allow the Holy Sites to be used for purposes that go against Islamic Shariah law. He stated that security authorities will firmly deal with any attempts to disturb the peace of pilgrims.

The first phase of the plan to transport pilgrims to the Holy Sites has been successfully implemented, with pilgrims being transported from the Grand Mosque and Makkah to Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah. This is in preparation for the standing at Arafat, which marks the climax of the annual pilgrimage of Hajj. Al-Shalhoub highlighted the importance of ensuring a smooth, convenient, and comfortable journey for pilgrims.

Significant efforts have been made to crack down on fake campaigns, with a total of 160 campaigns seized since April 29, 2024. Additionally, 135,098 vehicles have been sent back for various violations from May 4 until Friday. Al-Shalhoub also mentioned that 6,135 violators of residency, work, and border security regulations were apprehended in Makkah city from April 19 until Friday.

The spokesman provided statistics on the number of non-residents of Makkah and visit visa holders who were sent back during the same period. A total of 250,381 non-residents of Makkah and 256,481 visit visa holders have been repatriated as part of efforts to ensure the integrity of the pilgrimage. These measures are crucial in maintaining the security and sanctity of the Holy Sites during the Hajj season.

Al-Shalhoub reiterated the commitment of Saudi Arabia to uphold the security and safety of the guests of God, emphasizing that this is a red line that must not be crossed. He warned against any attempts to disrupt the peace of pilgrims and stated that security authorities will deal strongly with anyone who violates these regulations. The priority is to ensure that pilgrims can perform their religious duties in a peaceful and secure environment.

In conclusion, Saudi Arabia is taking comprehensive measures to protect the sanctity of the Holy Sites and ensure the safety of pilgrims during the Hajj season. The strict enforcement of security regulations, crackdown on violations, and emphasis on maintaining peace and order highlight the commitment of the country to upholding the values of Islamic Shariah law. The efforts to transport pilgrims smoothly and efficiently reflect the dedication to providing a comfortable and convenient experience for all pilgrims. By prioritizing the security and well-being of pilgrims, Saudi Arabia demonstrates its commitment to the principles of Hajj and the values of Islam.
