The eleventh edition of the “Fak Kurbah” initiative in Muscat has successfully released over 1,200 indebted individuals. The Omani Lawyers Association, which oversees the initiative, announced that a total of 1,219 cases were resolved in this latest edition. Dr. Hamad Al-Rubaie, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Omani Lawyers Association, revealed that the highest number of cases released came from North Al Batinah Governorate, followed by Muscat Governorate and Al Buraimi Governorate.

The success of the initiative can be attributed to the generous donations from both government and private institutions, as well as individual philanthropists. The broad participation from donors has enabled the initiative to set a new record in terms of the number of cases resolved. Since its launch in March, the initiative has garnered support from various sectors of society, leading to a cumulative total of approximately 7,100 cases being resolved since 2012.

The “Fak Kurbah” Initiative is an annual voluntary campaign that takes place during the holy month of Ramadan. Organized by a group of lawyers within the Omani Lawyers Association, its primary aim is to release insolvent individuals from debt, detainment, or other legal issues. Dr. Mohammed Al Zadjali, General Supervisor of the initiative, emphasized that only those who have not previously benefited from the initiative are eligible for assistance.

The geographical distribution of cases released in this edition of the initiative reflects a diverse range of locations, with varying numbers of individuals being helped in each region. From North Al Sharqiyah Governorate to Dhofar Governorate, the initiative has reached individuals in different parts of Oman, providing relief and support to those in need. The impact of the initiative extends beyond just financial assistance, offering a sense of hope and relief to those who have been struggling with legal and financial burdens.

As the initiative continues to grow and attract more support from donors and volunteers, its impact on the community becomes even more significant. The willingness of individuals and organizations to contribute to such a noble cause demonstrates the unity and generosity of the Omani society. Through initiatives like “Fak Kurbah,” communities can come together to support those who are less fortunate and in need of assistance, embodying the spirit of charity and compassion that is so essential during the holy month of Ramadan.

In conclusion, the success of the eleventh edition of the “Fak Kurbah” initiative in Muscat highlights the dedication and generosity of donors and volunteers who have come together to support the less fortunate in society. With over 1,200 cases resolved in this edition alone, the impact of the initiative on individuals and families in need is clear. By continuing to support initiatives like “Fak Kurbah,” the Omani society can work towards creating a more compassionate and inclusive community, where those in need are provided with the assistance and support they require to overcome their challenges.
