Mercedes has announced that Italian driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli will replace Lewis Hamilton in the 2025 Formula One season. Antonelli, who just turned 18, will partner George Russell at Mercedes. Antonelli’s first F1 drive at the Italian Grand Prix ended abruptly when he crashed Russell’s car during the practice session. However, Mercedes is giving him another opportunity to drive at the Mexican GP in October.

Hamilton set the fastest time, followed closely by Russell and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. The team’s performance reflects their commitment to finishing the season on a high note.
