Martin survives crash and secures pole position for French MotoGP

Jorge Martin of Ducati Prima Pramac Racing secured pole position in the French MotoGP Grand Prix at Le Mans, despite crashing in the final stages of qualifying. The championship leader will be joined on the front row by Francesco Bagnaia and Maverick Vinales. Martin, who set a lap record in practice, will aim to extend his lead in the standings at the sprint race.

The qualifying session in western France saw several riders experiencing crashes, including Bagnaia and Jack Miller. Six-time world champion Marc Marquez had to settle for a 13th place start, his worst result of the year. Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo, the home favorite, will start from eighth position. South African Brad Binder finished last in the qualifiers.

Despite his late crash, Martin managed to secure pole position, giving him the best possible starting position for the race. Bagnaia, who is currently behind Martin in the standings, failed to capitalize on the Spaniard’s mistake. With Vinales completing the front row, the stage is set for an exciting race at Le Mans.

The qualifying session at Le Mans saw some unexpected results, with top riders like Marquez and Binder struggling to make an impact. With Martin leading the way, fans can expect a thrilling race as the Ducati rider looks to extend his lead in the championship standings. The high-speed action at Le Mans promises to provide plenty of excitement for MotoGP fans.

As the riders prepare for the sprint race, all eyes will be on Martin as he aims to maintain his position at the top of the standings. Bagnaia, Vinales, and the rest of the field will be looking to challenge the championship leader and secure valuable points in the French MotoGP. With the top riders battling it out on the track, fans can expect a thrilling contest at Le Mans.
