Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) in collaboration with public and private sector partners, are offering free clinical breast examination and mammogram screenings across the UAE in October. This initiative is part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, available to citizens and residents. The Pink Caravan, FOCP’s annual initiative, allows companies to book a Mobile Clinic, providing free mammograms for female employees aged 40 and above, along with clinical breast exams for those aged 20 and over.

Moreover, the Pink Caravan Corporate Wellness Day targets staff from private and government organizations, offering virtual seminars and vouchers for mammogram screenings and clinical exams for women aged 20 and above. The initiative also provides businesses the opportunity to arrange awareness seminars for both men and women, either on-site or virtually. Companies can utilize Pink Caravan’s Mini Clinic service, offering awareness sessions and medical services, including clinical breast exams for female employees aged 20 and above, with vouchers for free mammogram screenings.

Aisha Al Mulla, director of FOCP, emphasizes the importance of partnerships with various stakeholders in spreading the message of early detection and providing resources for breast cancer patients. She encourages companies, institutions, and individuals to actively participate in the fight against breast cancer. FOCP is committed to continuous community support beyond Pink October, offering year-round assistance to patients and families through digital platforms. Aisha Al Mulla also highlights the significant role of youth in raising awareness and encourages them to join the cause.

To avail of the services, firms can send an email to the specified contacts. FOCP is also calling on medical professionals to volunteer for the Pink Caravan campaign in October. Doctors, nurses, and students from medical and nursing schools are encouraged to join the team, offering free medical services to the community and supporting the campaign’s mission. Those interested in volunteering can sign up via email. The fight against breast cancer is a collective responsibility that involves both the public and private sectors, highlighting the importance of partnerships in spreading awareness and providing resources for patients. Everyone has a role to play in this mission, and community support is essential in ensuring the success of awareness campaigns and early detection initiatives.

Furthermore, FOCP emphasizes the year-round assistance provided to patients and families through digital platforms. The Pink Caravan initiative offers companies the opportunity to arrange awareness seminars for employees, participate in the Corporate Wellness Day, and utilize the Mini Clinic service for comprehensive medical services. The significance of youth involvement in raising awareness and inspiring others to join the fight against breast cancer is highlighted, encouraging creativity and leadership in the cause. Companies and individuals are encouraged to actively participate in spreading awareness and supporting breast cancer patients through various initiatives and services offered by FOCP and the Pink Caravan campaign.
