French soccer player Paul Pogba made a comeback at a game between Charlotte FC and Inter Miami, and Juventas in Italy does not seem excited to welcome him back. Pogba’s four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months after he appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Waiting for the sentence documents, Juventus’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli said they will make a decision about Pogba’s return. Coach Thiago Motta also expressed a similar sentiment, stating that the club will decide what to do about Pogba and that he has been out of action for a long time.

Pogba, who tested positive for testosterone in 2024, expressed his excitement to get back on the pitch. However, Juventus does not share the same enthusiasm, as they feel he has been out of action for too long. Despite being a great player, Pogba’s injuries limited him to just eight Serie A appearances in his second spell at the club before he was banned. The 31-year-old was the most expensive soccer player in history when he joined Manchester United in 2016 and also played a significant role in France’s World Cup triumph in 2018.

While Pogba awaits his return to competitive soccer, his former club Juventus seems hesitant about welcoming him back. With his ban reduced to 18 months, Pogba will be able to resume his career in March 2025. Juventus’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and coach Thiago Motta have expressed reservations about Pogba’s return due to his long period of inactivity. The club is set to make a decision once they receive the sentence documents and evaluate Pogba’s situation.

Despite his impressive career achievements, including winning the World Cup with France and joining Manchester United as the most expensive player in history, Pogba’s recent ban and injuries have raised concerns about his ability to return to top form. Juventus will need to carefully assess Pogba’s physical condition and readiness to perform at the highest level before making a decision about his future with the club. As Pogba eagerly anticipates his return to the pitch, his club remains cautious about welcoming him back after a prolonged period of absence.

In conclusion, the anticipation of Paul Pogba’s return to competitive soccer is met with mixed reactions from Juventus. While Pogba is eager to resume his career after his doping ban was reduced, his former club is hesitant due to his long absence from the game. With his ban set to expire in March 2025, Pogba will need to prove himself once again to win back the trust and confidence of his team. Only time will tell whether Pogba can reclaim his status as one of the top players in the world and make a successful comeback to the sport he loves.
