Isa Town in Bahrain is facing a growing issue with trucks parking in residential neighborhoods, causing noise, pollution, and safety concerns for residents. Southern Municipal Council member Abdulla Darraj has been vocal about the need for clearer rules to keep lorries out of these areas. He has called for stronger enforcement of parking regulations and the addition of warning signs to help address the problem.

Darraj has emphasized the importance of clearing residential streets of trucks to ensure the safety of residents, maintain the appearance of the area, and prevent environmental damage. He pointed out that many truck drivers continue to park in neighborhoods without regard for regulations, leading to various issues. He believes that stricter enforcement and more warning signs are necessary to address this issue effectively.

The council member has highlighted the fact that Isa Town is starting to resemble a truck yard, with lorries frequently parking on pavements and causing damage. He noted that many of these vehicles are left fully loaded while parked, putting additional strain on the area. Residents have expressed frustration over the constant noise from truck engines and the presence of thick smoke in the air, leading Darraj to question the oversight from authorities.

Darraj has suggested that fines should be imposed on drivers who ignore parking regulations to encourage compliance and alleviate the burden on neighborhoods. He believes that a combination of stronger enforcement, warning signs, and penalties can help bring back some peace and order to Isa Town. The goal is to create a safer and more pleasant environment for residents by addressing the issue of trucks parking in residential areas.
