Mauricio Gomez, a Columbian engineer turned humanitarian worker, shared his decision to leave his job after witnessing the devastating effects of an earthquake in his hometown. His experience with the Red Cross marked the beginning of his career as a humanitarian worker, driven by a desire to make a difference.
