Additionally, there are certain requirements that applicants must meet, such as providing a valid passport copy with a residence visa page, a self-declaration form, and a no-objection certificate from authorities if required based on the Licensing Categories Decision. The process for applying for a freelance license online involves registering on the gofreelance.ae website, filling out a form, uploading the required documents, and paying the fees.

In Abu Dhabi, freelancers are allowed to engage in about 100 activities, including photography, design, gaming consultancy, and AI development. To be eligible for a freelance permit, individuals must have experience in a specific field or have earned academic or professional achievements in that sector. The cost of a freelance license in Abu Dhabi includes various fees such as Ministry of Economy fees, Abu Dhabi Chamber fee, commercial license issuance fee, organization entities fee, registration fee, fees for establishment card, and social contributions.

With the right license and qualifications, freelancers can tap into a diverse range of projects and clients, making it a viable career option in the modern workforce landscape.
