Abu Dhabi authorities have recently announced a crackdown on violators of government housing rules, specifically targeting individuals who illegally rent out villas or set up shops at these properties. The inspections will also cover abandoned houses across the emirate. The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (Adha) and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) will be conducting a field survey campaign to address these housing violations. Violators will be given a one-month grace period to rectify their offences, after which legal measures will be taken. Majid Abdullah Al Muhairi, acting executive director of the Housing Benefits Allocation Sector, called on program beneficiaries to adhere to all terms and conditions and maintain clean and tidy residential communities.

Government housing should be used for its intended purpose and not for renting out or setting up commercial outlets, the authorities emphasized. Residents are encouraged to report any violations they notice in their neighborhoods through the Tamm application using the “photograph and report” feature. In addition to the crackdown, Adha will conduct awareness campaigns to inform homeowners of various financing solutions available to them, such as maintenance loans and demolition and reconstruction loans. Fahad Al Shehhi, acting director of the General Appearance Department at the DMT, highlighted the cooperation with Adha in achieving the government’s goals of establishing sustainable residential communities that enhance the quality of life in the emirate.

The initiative aims to ensure that government housing is utilized appropriately and to maintain the integrity of residential communities in Abu Dhabi. By cracking down on violators and raising awareness about housing regulations, authorities seek to create sustainable and organized living spaces for residents. Residents play a crucial role in upholding these regulations by reporting any violations they come across, ultimately contributing to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment. Through a combination of enforcement measures and educational campaigns, the authorities aim to promote compliance with housing rules and regulations, ultimately benefiting the community as a whole.

In line with their commitment to upholding housing regulations, the Abu Dhabi authorities have set a clear timeline for violators to rectify their offenses before legal action is taken. This approach aims to provide an opportunity for violators to correct their actions and adhere to government guidelines. By giving a one-month grace period, authorities allow individuals the chance to address any violations and ensure that government housing is used appropriately. This proactive approach emphasizes the importance of maintaining the integrity of residential communities and creating a harmonious living environment for all residents.

The partnership between the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and the Department of Municipalities and Transport reflects a shared commitment to establishing sustainable residential communities that improve the quality of life in the emirate. Through coordinated efforts and collaboration, both entities are working towards achieving the government’s goals of enhancing living standards and promoting community well-being. By raising awareness about financing solutions and enforcing housing regulations, authorities aim to create a conducive environment for residents to thrive and contribute positively to their neighborhoods. The joint endeavors of Adha and DMT demonstrate a collective dedication to creating a safe, organized, and sustainable housing sector in Abu Dhabi.

Residents are urged to play an active role in upholding housing regulations by reporting any violations they observe in their neighborhoods. The Tamm application provides a convenient platform for residents to document and report any infractions, enabling authorities to take appropriate action. By encouraging community involvement and accountability, authorities aim to foster a culture of compliance and responsibility among residents. Through ongoing awareness campaigns and enforcement measures, the Abu Dhabi authorities seek to create a culture of respect for housing regulations and ensure that government properties are utilized in accordance with their intended purposes.Ultimately, the crackdown on housing violations serves to protect the integrity of residential communities and promote a sense of order, cleanliness, and safety for all residents in Abu Dhabi.
