The Saudi Ministry of Health has highlighted a major challenge facing this year’s Hajj season in Makkah Al Mukaramah, with temperatures soaring to between 45 and 48 degrees Celsius. This extreme heat poses a serious threat to the health of pilgrims making the journey to perform the annual Islamic pilgrimage. Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali, spokesperson for the Ministry, emphasized the importance of following health instructions to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims during this challenging period. These instructions include carrying umbrellas to shield against the scorching sun, staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and taking regular rest breaks to prevent exhaustion and heat-related illnesses.
