Sports Boulevard project reveals plans for a record-breaking sports tower in Riyadh

The Global Sports Tower, approved by the board of directors of the Sports Boulevard Foundation, is set to be the tallest sports tower in the world at 130 meters. The tower will feature more than 30 different sports facilities, including the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall at 98 meters. Climbers of all levels will be able to enjoy this unique feature, along with the world’s highest running track, offering athletes a one-of-a-kind training experience with stunning views of Riyadh. This project aims to enhance the quality of life in the city and position Riyadh as one of the top 10 global economies, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Sports Boulevard project is a groundbreaking initiative that aims to create a futuristic urban environment for Riyadh, positively impacting the Kingdom’s economy and international standing. Stretching for over 135 km on Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, the project includes more than 4.4 million square meters of greenery and open spaces, along with 50 multidisciplinary sports facilities and unique destinations for residents and visitors to enjoy. The project aims to promote sports participation and improve the quality of life in Riyadh, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 for a sustainable, regenerative environment.

The Global Sports Tower is a key component of the Sports Boulevard project, designed to adhere to the principles of Salmani architecture, combining originality and modernity. This unique architectural design will make the tower a distinctive landmark on Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road and across Riyadh. By providing world-class sports facilities, the tower aims to promote a sports culture among all members of society and contribute to achieving the goals of the Sports Boulevard project in enhancing the quality of life in Riyadh.

The Sports Boulevard project, launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is committed to improving the quality of life in Riyadh through integrated infrastructure and recreational pathways for pedestrians, cyclists, and horse riders. The project aims to create a sustainable, regenerative environment that enhances the city’s international ambitions and encourages grassroots sports participation. With the construction of the world’s tallest sports tower, the project continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting sports and leisure activities for all residents and visitors of Riyadh.
