It is time for Syria to achieve stability and progress in Saudi Arabia.

Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Saudi Minister of Defense, expressed the importance of achieving stability and progress in Syria during official talks between Saudi Arabia and the delegation from the new Syrian Administration in Riyadh. Describing the meeting as “fruitful,” Prince Khalid bin Salman emphasized the need for Syria to benefit from its capabilities, especially for the people of the country who have endured years of war and destruction. The meeting, which included discussions with the Syrian delegation’s Foreign Minister, Defense Minister, and Intelligence Chief, focused on supporting the transitional political process to fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, stability, and unity.

The Syrian official delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Assad Al-Shaibani, met with Prince Khalid bin Salman at his office in Riyadh. The delegation also included Minister of Defense Maj. Gen. Marhaf Abu Qasra and Head of the General Intelligence Service Anas Khattab. Discussions during the meeting addressed the latest developments in Syria and ways to support the transitional political process to ensure the security, stability, and territorial integrity of the country. The Saudi side was represented by key officials such as Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, among others, while the Syrian delegation was represented by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mohsen Mahbash and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ahmed Dukhan.

In a separate meeting, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with his Syrian counterpart Asaad Al-Shaibani at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh. This marked the Syrian delegation’s first official foreign visit as they arrived in Riyadh to engage in discussions on ways to support the transitional political process in Syria. Both sides expressed the importance of working together to achieve stability and progress in the country, acknowledging the challenges faced by the Syrian people due to years of war and difficult living conditions.

The focus of the discussions was on exploring ways to support the Syrian people in their quest for security, stability, and unity. Prince Khalid bin Salman emphasized the need for Syria to tap into its capabilities and resources to benefit its citizens and move towards a brighter future. By engaging in dialogue with the Syrian delegation, Saudi Arabia aimed to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the transitional political process in Syria and working towards the realization of the Syrian people’s aspirations.

Overall, the meetings between the Saudi officials and the Syrian delegation highlighted the significance of achieving stability and progress in Syria. Both sides reiterated their commitment to supporting the transitional political process to fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people. By discussing ways to enhance security, stability, and territorial integrity in Syria, the meetings aimed to lay the groundwork for a more peaceful and prosperous future for the country and its citizens.
