The Riyadh Region Mayoralty has recently signed five contracts with a total worth of SR6 billion to enhance the quality of roads in the capital city over a period of five years. This initiative is part of the region’s strategic plans to improve the transportation experience for residents and visitors, with a focus on efficiency and sustainability. The contracts aim to raise and improve the quality of roads, enhance the safety of transportation, and bring the city’s road infrastructure up to international standards. The projects will include renovation and asphalt works to improve the overall road network in Riyadh.

To ensure the success of these projects, the mayoralty has divided the city into five zones – north, south, east, west, and central – to prioritize work based on a comprehensive survey of the city’s roads and streets. By utilizing the latest technologies and adhering to strict standards, the mayoralty aims to improve the quality of existing roads, enhance safety measures, conduct maintenance work, and coordinate efforts with other entities in the city. Additionally, the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center, established by a decision of the Council of Ministers, will play a key role in overseeing the implementation of these projects and ensuring that there is no duplication of work.

The signing of these contracts by the Riyadh Region Mayoralty highlights its commitment to achieving the city’s ambitious goals and improving the quality of life for its residents. By investing in infrastructure projects, the region aims to create a sustainable and prosperous environment, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The ultimate objective is to transform Riyadh into one of the most sustainable cities in the world, while also enhancing infrastructure efficiency, optimizing spending, and improving the overall transportation experience for all who live in or visit the capital city.

In addition to the regular contracts, these exceptional contracts aim to enhance the quality of roads in Riyadh and contribute to the region’s long-term goals. By focusing on infrastructure improvements, the mayoralty is working towards creating a city that is sustainable, efficient, and globally competitive. By coordinating efforts with various authorities and organizations, the region is laying the groundwork for long-term success and sustainability in Riyadh. Through careful planning and strategic investments, the Riyadh Region Mayoralty is paving the way for a brighter future for the city and its residents.

Overall, the signing of these contracts signifies a major step forward in the region’s efforts to elevate the quality of roads in Riyadh and create a more sustainable and prosperous environment for all. By focusing on infrastructure projects and adhering to international standards, the mayoralty is setting the stage for Riyadh to become a global leader in sustainability and efficiency. With a strong commitment to improving transportation, enhancing safety measures, and coordinating efforts with other entities, the region is working towards achieving its ambitious goals and transforming Riyadh into a world-class city.
