The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Doha, Qatar recently inaugurated a new grand mosque in the Al-Wukair area. The mosque, known as Mosque No. (M. S 541), can accommodate a total of 852 worshippers, with separate areas for men and women. The facility is located on a spacious 2,799 square meter plot and also includes an imam’s house and a muezzin’s residence. This initiative is part of the ministry’s strategic plan to upgrade mosques in response to urban growth and population increases in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

The newly opened mosque features a large prayer hall, a separate prayer area for women, ample ablution facilities, and designated parking spaces including spots for individuals with special needs. The mosque’s prominent minaret adds to its distinctive architectural design. The Ministry’s website offers a geo-navigation system that allows users to easily locate mosques across the country, making it convenient for worshippers to find nearby prayer facilities.
