Malaysia’s Prime Minister departs from Doha

HE Dr. Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, recently concluded a state visit to Doha, Qatar. The visit was aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. During his time in Qatar, Dr. Ibrahim met with various government officials and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and education. The Prime Minister was accompanied by a delegation from Malaysia, which included top officials and diplomats.

On Tuesday, Dr. Ibrahim and his delegation were seen off at Doha International Airport by HE Salah bin Mohammed Al Sorour, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Malaysia, and HE Zamshari bin Shaharan, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Qatar. The warm send-off was a reflection of the deep friendship and mutual respect between the two nations. Both ambassadors expressed their gratitude for the successful visit and reiterated their commitment to furthering the strong ties between Malaysia and Qatar.

During his visit, Dr. Ibrahim participated in several high-level meetings and discussions with Qatari officials. The Prime Minister also had the opportunity to explore opportunities for collaboration in various sectors, including tourism, energy, and technology. The discussions focused on ways to promote investment and trade between Malaysia and Qatar, as well as opportunities for cultural exchange and cooperation in education and research.

Dr. Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Qatar highlights the importance of international diplomacy and cooperation in today’s interconnected world. The Prime Minister’s discussions with Qatari officials underscore the shared commitment of Malaysia and Qatar to fostering strong and enduring partnerships. The visit also serves as a reminder of the need for countries to work together to address global challenges and promote peace and prosperity for all.

As Dr. Ibrahim bids farewell to Qatar and returns to Malaysia, both countries can look forward to building on the progress made during his visit.
