Chief of Staff meets NATO Military Committee’s Deputy Chair

The Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, H E Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, recently met with Deputy Chair of the NATO Military Committee, H E Lieutenant General Andrew M. Rohling in Brussels. The meeting focused on discussing various topics of mutual interest and reviewing the relations of bilateral military cooperation between Qatar and NATO. The Ambassador of Qatar to the European Union and NATO, H E Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani, and several senior officers of Qatar Armed Forces were also present during the meeting.

In addition to meeting with Deputy Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Lieutenant General Andrew M. Rohling, the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces also had a meeting with Supreme Allied Commander of Europe, General Christopher G. Cavoli, during his visit to Belgium. Again, the discussions revolved around mutual interests and ways to enhance and develop the relations of bilateral military cooperation between Qatar and NATO. The Ambassador of Qatar to EU and NATO, along with several senior officers of Qatar Armed Forces, were present during this meeting as well.

The meetings in Brussels between the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces and high-ranking NATO officials signify the importance of maintaining strong and healthy relations between Qatar and NATO. These discussions highlight the commitment of both parties to enhance and develop their military cooperation for mutual benefits. The presence of senior officers from Qatar Armed Forces during the meetings shows the seriousness with which Qatar is pursuing its military cooperation with NATO.

By actively engaging in discussions with NATO officials, the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces is demonstrating Qatar’s commitment to promoting peace and security in the region. These meetings serve as a platform for Qatar to strengthen its ties with NATO and to work towards a more stable and secure environment.
