The Board of Trustees of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies at Bait Al Falaj Garrison recently held their annual meeting under the chairmanship of HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials including Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University, Foreign Minister, Inspector General for Police and Customs, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Minister of Economy, Secretary General of Military Affairs at the Royal Office, and other key figures in the defense sector. The objective of the meeting was to discuss important topics listed on the agenda and work towards achieving the academy’s objectives.

HH Sayyid Shihab welcomed the board members at the outset of the meeting and expressed his hope that the meeting would yield fruitful results that serve the academy’s mission. The members discussed various topics during the meeting, focusing on ways to enhance the academy’s strategic and defense studies. With his expertise and experience, HH Sayyid Dr. Fahd Al Julanda Al Said provided valuable insights during the discussions, contributing to the academy’s strategic planning and decision-making process.

The presence of key officials such as Sayyid Bad Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Lt. Gen Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General for Police and Customs, highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s defense capabilities. By actively participating in the meeting, these officials demonstrated their support for the academy’s mission and their willingness to collaborate on strategic initiatives.
