The Sultanate of Oman recently took part in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The main goal of this conference was to work towards minimizing the risks associated with climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions on a global scale. Ibrahim Ahmed Al Ajmi, who headed the Omani negotiating team at the conference, highlighted the country’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, which is a key component of Oman’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
