The Minister of Industry and Commerce in Bahrain, HE Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, recently visited several factories in the Ma’ameer Industrial Area to show support for the industrial sector in the Kingdom. During the visit to “Craft Boat” factory, “H Al-Dhaen Boat Factory” and “Araib Factory for Industry”, he emphasized the importance of the industrial sector as a key pillar of economic development. The Minister stressed the need to provide quality opportunities for citizens and support the process of construction and development in Bahrain. This visit was part of the ministry’s efforts to stay updated on all developments concerning the industrial sector.

The Minister was briefed on the current situation of the factories and reviewed their production processes and services. He expressed his support for all industrial activities, especially those that focus on high added value industrial, commercial, and service projects. H.E. Fakhro also highlighted the importance of cooperating with various entities to implement the objectives of the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026). These objectives include increasing the contribution of the industrial sector to the GDP, increasing industrial exports of national origin, and providing promising job opportunities for citizens in the industrial sector.

The Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026) aims to support the sector’s transformation towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It focuses on applying the concept of a circular carbon economy and environmental and social governance, encouraging investment in technological infrastructure, digitizing manufacturing, and increasing supply chain efficiency through industrial integration. This strategy is crucial for the growth and sustainability of the industrial sector in Bahrain, as it positions the sector to adapt to the changing global landscape and stay competitive in the international market.

The Minister’s visit to the factories in the Ma’ameer Industrial Area highlights the government’s commitment to supporting the industrial sector and ensuring its growth and prosperity. By providing continuous support to industrial activities and implementing strategic initiatives outlined in the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026), Bahrain aims to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. This will not only boost the local economy but also create more quality job opportunities for citizens, contributing to the overall development and progress of the Kingdom.

The industrial sector plays a crucial role in economic development, and Bahrain recognizes the significance of investing in this sector to drive growth and innovation. By focusing on high value-added industrial projects, the Kingdom aims to increase its industrial exports and create more job opportunities for its citizens. The government’s commitment to supporting the industrial sector through strategic initiatives and collaborations with various entities underscores its dedication to promoting economic prosperity and sustainable development in Bahrain.

In conclusion, the Minister’s visit to the factories in the Ma’ameer Industrial Area reinforces Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the industrial sector as a key driver of economic growth. By implementing the objectives outlined in the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026) and encouraging innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, Bahrain aims to enhance the competitiveness of its industrial sector and create more opportunities for citizens. This proactive approach towards industrial development sets the stage for a thriving and dynamic industrial landscape in Bahrain, positioning the Kingdom as a hub for innovation and growth in the region.
