The Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Bahrain is taking significant steps to advance its equestrian sector, with the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Club’s Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman, recently inaugurated the Night Lighting project, designed to attract participants from around the world and solidify the Kingdom’s position as a key hub for horseracing competitions. The project was implemented with the highest international quality standards in mind, showcasing the Club’s dedication to excellence.

In a major announcement, the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club revealed that night races will be introduced starting from the upcoming 2024/2025 season. This marks a significant milestone in Bahrain’s horse racing history, with an expansion of races in the fourth edition of the Bahrain International Championship and the sixth edition of the Bahrain International Trophy. The upcoming season will also see an increase in the number of local races, highlighting the Club’s commitment to promoting both local and international competitions and nurturing the growth of equestrian sports in the Kingdom.

The Night Lighting project at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club involved the installation of 68 lighting towers, each boasting a power of 1,000 lux. These towers are strategically placed across various areas of the track, ensuring optimal visibility and safety during night races. The implementation of this project signifies the Club’s dedication to providing world-class facilities for participants and spectators alike, enhancing the overall horseracing experience in Bahrain.
