Cabinet confirms its backing for US President Biden’s suggestion to permanently resolve the conflict.

The Cabinet of Bahrain has commended a recent initiative by US President Joe Biden proposing a ceasefire in Gaza and called on all parties involved to consider it positively. The Cabinet sees this as an opportunity to bring a permanent end to the conflict, release hostages and detainees, start the reconstruction of Gaza, and improve the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians. It also acknowledged King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s call for an international peace conference to support the Palestinian people’s right to establish their own state. Bahrain has expressed its willingness to host this conference as part of its commitment to addressing key regional issues.

During a weekly Cabinet meeting chaired by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Cabinet praised the outcomes of King Hamad’s state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. The visit has strengthened the comprehensive strategic partnership between Bahrain and China. The Cabinet highlighted the discussions between King Hamad and President Xi Jinping regarding the Bahrain Declaration issued during the 33rd regular Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit Level. The signed agreements and memoranda of understanding will further enhance Bahrain-China relations.

The initiatives put forth by US President Joe Biden regarding a ceasefire in Gaza have been commended by the Cabinet of Bahrain, which is urging all parties involved to seriously consider this proposal. This is seen as a chance to end the conflict permanently, release hostages and detainees, start reconstruction efforts in Gaza, and improve humanitarian aid delivery. The Cabinet also noted King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s call for an international peace conference to support the Palestinian people’s right to establish their own state. Bahrain is willing to host this conference as part of its commitment to regional stability and progress.
