Bahrain Secures First Place in BRICS International Holy Quran Competition

The Kingdom of Bahrain has made waves in the international sphere by securing first place in the BRICS International Holy Quran Competition held in Kazan, Russian Federation. The competition took place from July 24 to 26, 2024, and saw participants from 20 countries worldwide. Dr. Muhammad Samir Mujahid from Bahrain claimed the top position in the recitation category, showcasing his skills and knowledge of the Quran.

The announcement of Bahrain’s victory came during the closing ceremony of the competition, which was attended by Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunni Endowments. The presence of esteemed figures added to the significance of Bahrain’s achievement and highlighted the country’s dedication to promoting Quranic knowledge and recitation. His Excellency Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, expressed his pride in the accomplishment, emphasizing the passion of Bahraini youth in memorizing and reciting the Book of Allah.

The success of Bahrain in the BRICS International Holy Quran Competition was credited to the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continuous support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
