10 Candidates Compete for a Seat in Bahrain’s First Constituency, Campaign Intensifies

The race for the vacant seat in Bahrain’s first constituency is heating up as over 10 candidates have officially declared their intentions to run in the upcoming by-election. The seat became available after the previous representative, Mohammed Al Hussaini, was disqualified. The election is scheduled for September, with the campaign period set to officially begin next week. Candidates are already engaging with voters through meet-and-greets and social media platforms in order to spread their messages.

Prominent figures like Dr. Essam Al Alawi, businessman Ibrahim Al Shaikh, and Khalid Sulaibeekh are among the declared candidates for the first constituency seat. Other candidates include Saleh Al Sada, Khawla Al Busmait, Nada bin Shams, Abdullah Al Sehli, Ahmed Al Tamimi, and Shaikh Mohammed Al Qallaf.
