Guedes stands out as Al Rayyan earn a point against Al Ahli

In the Ooredoo Stars League match between Al Rayyan and Al Ahli, Roger Guedes stole the show by scoring both goals for his team in a thrilling 2-2 draw. The game was filled with exciting moments as both teams fought hard for the win. Al Rayyan’s performance led them to secure a point in the league standings. Meanwhile, Al Ahli’s second-place position was maintained, trailing behind leaders Al Duhail by three points.

The match saw Sekou Yansane scoring the opener for Al Ahli in the fourth minute, but Guedes quickly equalized with a powerful shot from outside the box. Despite Al Ahli taking the lead again, Guedes leveled the score once more to salvage a point for his team. The draw brought Al Rayyan’s points total to 10, showing a strong performance in the league.

Coach Igor Biscan of Al Ahli expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, highlighting the chances created that could have resulted in victory. Both teams showcased their attacking capabilities throughout the match, making it an intense competition. Al Rayyan’s resilience in coming back twice from losing positions displayed their determination on the field.

In another match, Umm Salal and Al Khor played out a goalless draw at Grand Hamad Stadium. The game saw Umm Salal creating opportunities to score, with Oussama Tannane coming close in the 13th minute. Despite both teams creating chances, the defenses held strong, resulting in a stalemate with the points shared between them.

At Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium, Al Shahania put on an impressive show against Al Shamal, securing a 2-0 victory. Pelle van Amersfoort and Abdulrahman Mosed Alrayashi were the goal scorers for Al Shahania, leading them to move up to ninth in the standings. Al Shamal faced a setback after being reduced to 10 men, impacting their performance and resulting in a defeat.

Looking ahead to future matches, defending champions Al Sadd will face Al Wakrah at Al Janoub Stadium, while Al Arabi and Qatar SC will compete at Al Thumama Stadium. The Ooredoo Stars League continues to deliver exciting matches filled with intense competition and standout performances from players like Roger Guedes, showcasing the talent and passion for football in Qatar.
