The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Doha, Qatar has recently issued a warning to owners of dangerous animals, specifically 28 breeds of dogs, against walking them in public places. This announcement comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to maintain public safety and protect the environment. The Ministry has classified a total of 48 animals as dangerous, including popular dog breeds such as Doberman, Bull Terrier, Bull Dog, Canary Dog, and Great Dane, among others.

In a statement on its social media account, the Ministry emphasized the importance of not bringing or walking these dangerous animals in public spaces to ensure the safety of individuals. It also warned against displaying, selling, or trading these animals, in accordance with Law No. (10) of 2019, which regulates the possession of dangerous animals and organisms. The Ministry urged everyone to familiarize themselves with the regulation, which includes 28 breeds of dangerous dogs, as well as a variety of other organisms categorized as dangerous, in order to comply fully with the law.

The Ministry further shared a complete list of the dangerous animals, which not only includes the aforementioned dog breeds, but also a range of other creatures such as several species of big cats, crocodiles, spiders, snakes, scorpions, wild cats, and bears. The goal of these regulations is to prevent any potential harm or danger that these animals may pose to the public and the environment. By raising awareness and enforcing these rules, the Ministry aims to create a safer and more sustainable environment for all residents and visitors in Qatar.

The Ministry’s initiative highlights the importance of responsible pet ownership and the need to prioritize public safety and environmental protection. It serves as a reminder for owners of dangerous animals to adhere to the regulations set in place and to refrain from bringing these animals to public places. By following these guidelines, individuals can contribute to maintaining a harmonious and safe community for everyone in Qatar.

In addition to the regulations regarding dangerous animals, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change is also working towards implementing various initiatives and campaigns to promote environmental conservation and sustainability in the region. Through education, awareness, and enforcement of laws, the Ministry is committed to addressing key environmental issues and fostering a culture of respect for nature.

Overall, the Ministry’s actions reflect a commitment to safeguarding public health, wellbeing, and the environment. By taking proactive measures and raising awareness about the dangers of certain animals, the Ministry is working towards creating a safer and more sustainable future for Qatar. It is essential for individuals to heed these warnings and cooperate with the regulations in order to protect themselves, their community, and the environment at large.
