The Sprint weekend at Lusail International Circuit is set to take place from November 28-30, 2025, making it Qatar’s third appearance in the Formula 1 Sprint Calendar. This event is part of the 75th anniversary celebration of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and the fifth season of the Sprint format. In a joint announcement by Formula 1 and the FIA, it was revealed that Lusail International Circuit is one of six venues selected to host F1 Sprint events during the 2025 season.

Since its introduction in 2021, the Sprint format has provided fans with exciting racing action and seen multiple winners from different parts of the grid. With a race distance of approximately 100 km and no mandatory pit stops, the Sprint races offer intense and unpredictable competition. The Sprint weekend at Lusail will feature a condensed schedule with fewer practice sessions, allowing for the focus to be on the high-tempo Sprint qualifying and the Sprint race itself.

Points will be awarded to the top eight finishers in the Sprint, which could be crucial in determining the 2025 championship standings. The Sprint calendar for 2025 includes events in Shanghai, China; Miami, USA; Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium; Austin, USA; São Paulo, Brazil; and Lusail, Qatar. Ticket information and event details for the Sprint weekend at Lusail will be announced in the coming months.

For more information about the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025 and future events, fans can follow Lusail International Circuit’s social media channels and visit the official website. Stay tuned for updates on the Sprint weekend at Lusail International Circuit, which promises to be an exciting conclusion to the Sprint calendar and a highlight of the 2025 Formula 1 season.
