The Ministry of Interior recently conducted inspection campaigns across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure compliance with residency, labor, and border security laws. From October 17 to October 23, a total of 20,896 violations were recorded, with the majority related to residency (11,930 violations), followed by border security (5,649 violations), and labor laws (3,317 violations). The operations also resulted in the arrest of 107 individuals who attempted to leave the Kingdom illegally and 24 individuals involved in facilitating the transportation, sheltering, and employment of violators. Additionally, a total of 16,653 expatriates are currently undergoing procedures to enforce regulations.

During the inspection period, 1,374 individuals were caught attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom illegally, with the majority being Yemeni nationals (43%), followed by Ethiopian nationals (55%), and individuals from other nationalities (2%). Among those detained, 8,251 were found to be in violation of laws and were advised to contact their respective embassies or consulates to obtain proper travel documentation. In addition, 2,626 individuals were instructed to make arrangements for their departure, and 11,774 have already been repatriated back to their home countries.

The Ministry of Interior issued a strong warning to individuals who facilitate illegal entry into the Kingdom, transport violators, or provide them with shelter or assistance. These individuals may face penalties of up to 15 years in prison and fines reaching up to SR1 million. Furthermore, vehicles used for transportation or residences used for sheltering violators may be confiscated. The ministry stressed that these actions are considered serious crimes and encouraged citizens to report any violations to the authorities. Reporting can be done by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions, and 999 or 996 in other areas of the Kingdom.

It is essential for residents and expatriates in Saudi Arabia to adhere to the country’s residency, labor, and border security laws to avoid facing legal consequences. The recent inspection campaigns conducted by the Ministry of Interior serve as a reminder of the importance of following these laws and regulations. Violators not only put themselves at risk but also contribute to undermining the country’s security and stability. Therefore, it is crucial for everyone to cooperate with the authorities and report any suspicious activities or violations they come across.

The Ministry of Interior’s efforts to enforce residency, labor, and border security laws play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the Kingdom. By conducting regular inspection campaigns and cracking down on violators, the ministry aims to protect the country from potential threats and ensure that individuals residing in Saudi Arabia do so legally and responsibly. The stringent penalties imposed on those who aid illegal entry or residence in the Kingdom send a strong message that such actions will not be tolerated and will be met with severe consequences.

In conclusion, the recent inspection campaigns carried out by the Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia have highlighted the government’s commitment to upholding residency, labor, and border security laws. With thousands of violations recorded and individuals arrested for attempting illegal entry or residence, it is evident that the authorities are taking proactive measures to maintain law and order in the Kingdom. It is essential for all residents and expatriates to comply with the country’s laws and regulations to avoid facing legal repercussions. By working together with the authorities and reporting any violations, individuals can contribute to maintaining the safety and security of Saudi Arabia.
