Do you have an innovative idea that could contribute to solving challenges and shaping a better future for humanity? The ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative is calling on creative thinkers, innovators, and designers from around the world to showcase their work and turn these experimental ideas into reality. The initiative welcomes contributions from bright students, top universities, and international institutions, with the aim of transforming their concepts and solutions into tangible projects that leave a mark on the future and the emirate.

The top 100 innovations selected through this initiative will be showcased at an annual event held in Dubai Future District. This platform not only provides a space for startups and innovators to bring their ideas to life but also helps in creating viable companies, generating job opportunities, attracting investments, and aiding market expansion. Innovations showcased at the event can also be patented, supporting talent looking to expand from local to global markets. These objectives will be achieved through collaborations with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Dubai Culture.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, approved the launch of the initiative, which will be led by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture). Additionally, Sheikh Hamdan witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation (HSDF), which pledged Dh100 million to support innovation and technology in Dubai and across the UAE, making HSDF a strategic partner of the initiative.

Building on the success achieved by the ‘Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative of the Art Dubai Group over the past nine years, the ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative seeks to create a dynamic platform that attracts leading innovations from around the world. Sheikha Latifa, under whose patronage the initiative has been successful, aims to spotlight future-oriented ideas with a positive impact on society and transform them into tangible achievements that serve humanity. DFF will support the initiative through various national programs like the Dubai Research and Development Program, the Dubai Robotics and Automation Program, AREA 2071, and the Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA).

The initiative has been backed by its founding partners: Dubai Culture, DIFC, A.R.M Holding, and the Investment Corporation of Dubai. In the past year, the initiative received over 2,800 project submissions encompassing more than 200 research fields across various technological and future-oriented sectors. By providing a platform for innovators to showcase their ideas, the initiative aims to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and positive societal impact while transforming experimental concepts into tangible solutions that benefit humanity.
