As travelers prepare for Eid Al Adha holidays and summer vacations, the traffic situation around Dubai International (DXB) airport is expected to be heavy during peak periods this weekend and in the coming days. With more than 3.7 million guests expected to pass through the airport between June 12 and 25, passengers are advised to give themselves extra time for their commute. To avoid road congestion, passengers are encouraged to use the Dubai Metro to travel to and from the airport and between Terminals 1 and 3.

DXB has implemented measures to manage the increased traffic flow, including restricting access to the arrivals’ forecourts in Terminals 1 and 3 to public transport and authorized airport vehicles only. Only passengers are allowed inside the airport during the peak summer travel period, and guests are advised to exchange farewells at home. Emirates passengers can take advantage of the airline’s home and city check-in options and then travel to the airport via the Dubai Metro.

For a smoother travel experience, Flydubai passengers are advised to arrive at least four hours before their departure time, while guests flying with other airlines should aim to arrive no earlier than three hours before departure. Online check-in options are also available to save time at the airport. DXB is expecting Saturday, June 22, to be the busiest day with guest numbers likely to exceed 287,000. Passengers can stay up to date with the latest news by following KT on WhatsApp Channels.

To avoid road congestion and make their journey more convenient, passengers can use the Dubai Metro with stations at DXB Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Each passenger is allowed to carry on the train two pieces of luggage, one large suitcase, and a carry-on bag. By following these travel tips and utilizing the available transportation options, passengers can navigate the busy traffic around DXB airport and enjoy a smooth travel experience during the Eid Al Adha holidays and summer vacation period.
