In a bid to develop the capabilities of Omani youth in the field of technical entrepreneurship, the fourth pioneering technical camp of the ‘DotNextJadeer’ programme was recently opened in Muscat by His Excellency AlSayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, the Muscat governor. The camp will run from June 30 to July 10, 2024 at the Sheraton Hotel in Muscat and aims to provide the necessary skills and knowledge to Omani graduates to meet the demands of the labor market. The programme also seeks to enhance the skills and capabilities of Omani talents to enable them to compete in global markets. This initiative plays a significant role in supporting national efforts to promote entrepreneurship and technical innovation in the Sultanate of Oman and is aligned with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

During the camp, a group of Omani youth will receive specialized training in various fields such as artificial intelligence, finance, investment, entrepreneurship, leadership, and creative industries, among others. Participants will have the opportunity to attend courses delivered by both local and international experts and instructors, with the opportunity to earn accredited certificates upon completion. By providing participants with a diverse set of skills and knowledge, the programme aims to empower Omani youth to contribute to the development of innovative national entrepreneurial projects. This will ultimately bolster Oman’s position in the global market and further progress towards achieving the objectives outlined in Oman Vision 2040.

One of the key objectives of the ‘DotNextJadeer’ programme is to equip Omani graduates with the necessary skills to establish successful self-employment ventures. By fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment skills among the Omani youth, the programme helps bridge the gap between education and industry requirements. This not only benefits the participants individually but also contributes to the overall economic growth of the Sultanate of Oman. By encouraging the establishment of innovative national entrepreneurial projects, the programme creates opportunities for job creation and economic diversification, in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

The opening ceremony of the fourth pioneering technical camp of the ‘DotNextJadeer’ programme was a platform for the Muscat governor to emphasize the significance of the programme in supporting national initiatives for entrepreneurship and technical innovation in Oman. The programme is designed to keep pace with the dynamic labor market needs and ensure that Omani graduates are equipped with the necessary skills and capabilities to compete effectively on a global scale. By providing participants with access to specialized training and accredited certificates, the programme aims to empower Omani youth to pursue opportunities in various sectors and contribute to the development of innovative projects that align with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

In addition to technical skills, the ‘DotNextJadeer’ programme also focuses on enhancing the leadership and creative abilities of Omani youth. By offering courses in leadership development and creative industries, the programme aims to nurture a generation of innovative and visionary entrepreneurs who can drive sustainable growth in Oman. The camp provides a unique opportunity for participants to learn from experts in their respective fields and gain valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies. By fostering a culture of creativity and innovation, the programme encourages participants to think outside the box and explore new avenues for growth and success in the ever-evolving business landscape.

Overall, the ‘DotNextJadeer’ programme plays a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship and technical innovation among Omani youth. By equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the global market, the programme contributes to the economic development of Oman and supports the objectives outlined in Oman Vision 2040. Through training, mentoring, and networking opportunities, the programme empowers Omani graduates to establish successful self-employment ventures and undertake innovative national entrepreneurial projects. As Oman continues to strive towards economic diversification and growth, initiatives like ‘DotNextJadeer’ are crucial in preparing the next generation of business leaders and innovators who will drive the Sultanate towards a sustainable and prosperous future.
